Wolfe Park Tennis Association – Call for Excellence (Ace) Awards
Each year WPTA takes time to recognize, honor and award our junior scholar athletes for their academic achievements in the classroom. WPTA core purpose strongly supports our junior’s athletic performance and physical health, but it also has always been proactively behind their core education values. To this end we created the Accelerate the Call for Excellence (ACE) awards to further help promote academic excellence.
WPTA last Saturday honored its scholar athletes (28) who over multiple reporting periods achieved honor roll level report cards. Many from the Columbus community, parents, relatives and supporters came out to honor their outstanding achievements. Also honored were two juniors who advanced out of orange and green dot ball courts to our green ball full court play. The award winner’s parents received a rose for each scholar they had being honored. All enjoyed also watching their juniors play, some joined in, and all enjoyed a Taco dinner which ended WPTA’s indoor 2018-2019 season at the Scarborough East Tennis Club.
